Lama Ole Nydahl, Public Lecture in Exeter - "Practical Buddhism"

On the 9th of November 2011 we are very pleased to announce that Lama Ole Nydahl will be coming to Exeter to give a public lecture on "Practical Buddhism" He will be sharing his knowledge and experience of Tibetan Buddhism in a general introduction showing how this ancient wisdom is relevant in the modern western world. His visit is part of his 2011 UK tour when he will be visiting Manchester, Exeter and London. The lecture requires no knowledge or previous experience of Buddhism and everyone is welcome to attend.

Lama Ole Nydahl and his wife Hannah became the first western students of the 16th Gyalwa Karmapa, after meeting him during their honeymoon in the Himalayas in 1969. After they spent years studying profound Buddhist teachings and the highest practices of meditation, the 16th Gyalwa Karmapa entrusted them with the mission of transmitting the teachings of the Diamond Way to the West. Since 1972, Lama Ole has founded more than 635 centers in the West and constantly travels worldwide transmitting the blessing of the Kagyu lineage.
